My love for dogs has been with me since 1983. I was only 13 years old when my father made my dream come true and brought home my first pedigree dog – AXA Košpon, a German Shepherd. That's when my journey began. Training, major dog sport events, and hours spent at training fields became an essential part of my life.
I fell in love with the Labrador Retriever the moment I got to know its character – strong, persistent, hardworking, yet gentle and loyal. I knew that one day our paths would cross.
And they did. One day, we got a phone call from a friend asking for help finding a home for a Labrador puppy – a little female. We offered to take care of her temporarily. That's when a new chapter of our lives began.
This little snowball stole all our hearts immediately. After just half an hour of wild play with our 8-year-old German Shepherd Hugo from Kostolianska cesta, she fell asleep in the kitchen, cuddled up next to him like an old friend.
It was a special and beautiful sight – the little white ball snuggled up with Hugo so trustfully – and in that moment it was decided. Much to the joy of our daughter Tinka, she stayed with us.
That little snowball was named X'Snow Queen Sun in Their Eyes, and she became the foundation of our breeding. That's when I realized that a Labrador is not just a working dog – it's a soul in a dog's body, loyal, hardworking, and endlessly devoted to its owner.
I discovered a new breed with a very different training style from what I had known before. My view of dogs as companions changed completely.
Everything truly started in 2007, when we founded our kennel "QUEEN'S JOY". Before that, I had raised two litters under the kennel name Sun in Their Eyes, which served as a role model and support in my early days of breeding. From those first litters, I kept Gomezik, and later Janneka and Jogi.
That's when my passion and love for the breed truly began.
I must also mention our very special Zaira od Himalajskeho cedru, who became such an important part of our lives. She was an incredible Labrador and is now part of every pedigree in our kennel. Thank you to Miška Dočekalová for Zairuška, Jožko, and Wilson.
I could name every one of our Labradors who have been with us and remain forever in our hearts – but that would be enough for a whole novel.
I'm grateful for all my dogs. Each of them taught me something and helped me grow.
I approach breeding with humility and a deep sense of responsibility, always focusing on health, temperament, and a happy life for each puppy in its new family.
